- circular needle size 10
- straight needle size 10
- bulky yarn
- sewing needle and thread
Directions:
piece 1
- cast on 70 stitches on circle needle
- knit for 2 inches
piece 2
- cast on 6 stitches on straight needle
- knit for 2 inches
piece 3
- cast on 20 stitches on straight needle
- knit for 3 inches
Once all three pieces are complete, scrunch piece 3 so that piece 2 touches the ends on piece 3. With a needle and thread hand sew the two pieces together along the edges in order for it to stay. Next sew the bow onto the piece 1, creating a knit headband with a bow.
I made this pattern up on my own and experimented with the sizes in order for it to look the way I wanted. The entire thing took me about 2 hours to complete!
