to say my days off are relaxing is an under statement. i spent most all of my day reading and researching new fashion blogs to get a tiny boost of inspiration to begin posting on a more regular basis. i came across Garance Dore's blog which is filled with amazing illustrations and quirky posts. currently dating Scott Schuman of The Sartorialist blog which is the most amazing blog depicting street style around the world doesn't hurt either. reading through her posts and illustrations has made me take out all of my drawing books and dig through the closet and find my vintage hat box filled with all my art supplies. i'm thinking today is a fabulous day to start working on that portfolio. deciding to make 2012 the year to chase after my dreams and i am starting this very second!
